You may about hybrid mattresses, but what’s the hype. Why are these such ‘the thing’ to talk about when it comes to mattresses. Well, they’ve been around for several years and we’ve even written about them before in a past blogs sharing some pros and cons… but as time moves forward, these hybrids are still around and our customers are raving about them. Let’s find out why…but so we’re on the same page, we first must answer this simple question. What is a hybrid mattress?
A hybrid mattress is composed of a layer of memory foam on top of a layer of wrapped springs, like you’d find in an innerspring mattress. Basically, it’s like memory foam and an innerspring mattress got married and had a hybrid. Best of both with these hybrid mattress babies! The result is a breathable, durable mattress that anyone can sleep on comfortably. Our other blog goes into more detail on ‘what is a hybrid’.
More airflow: If airflow and breathability is important to you. You might be very pleased with a hybrid over a traditional memory foam mattress. Hybrids are more breathable and tend to feel cooler because of the spring system it uses. Air gets circulated within the core of the mattress which helps alleviate the heat getting trapped in this bed.
Supportive structure: Tired of the saggy mattress that offers little to no support for your body? Hybrids have a foam that provides excellent back support, especially for back sleepers. Goodbye to cricked backs and lopsided mattresses. The springs provide a firm base, and the memory foam cradles the body as it sleeps and provides excellent spinal alignment. Hybrids are great for any sleep position. Also, it may not bother you to have a body outline as you get out of the bed, but if it does…hybrids leave less visual body impressions. So, if want a bed that’s not too soft or too firm, a hybrid mattress might be just right.
Great for couples: If you have a spouse that loves a super soft mattress and you love a more firm mattress, a hybrid can be a great compromise. Choosing a mattress for both of you can be a difficult decision and hybrids help mix the best of soft and firm plushness. It can also be great for couples because of the individual pocketed coils that avoid feeling the motion of your partner at night.
Best warranty in the industry: Another reason to consider a hybrid is because if has a better warranty. It allows for smaller impressions that can qualify under warranty. A superior warranty that our sleep experts can tell you more about in person.
